A young fashion designer (Portia Doubleday) goes to work at her father's company, however her step mother (Lauren Holly) and step sisters conspire to get her sacked. She therefore decides to get her job back by pretenting to be a male designer. This is a pleasant variation on the Cinderella / rom com theme, with a nod to the odd Shakespearian plot. Portia Doubleday is not convincing as a boy (Amanda Bynes was better), but Lauren Holly does well as the mean step mother. .
