Villagers are being killed by the beast of local legend, who as a consequence is being hunted down as the culprit. However Belle (Estelle Warren) joins up with the beast to find the real culprit. This is an adult, blood and gore version of the traditional story and not a children's story (see the much better Disney version for that). This is poorly produced and the effects are not good, which is reflected in the fact that Estella Warren wears an inappropriately skimpy outfit throughout the film. The best performance is from Vanessa Gray as the scheming evil witch. This is a good idea that is not well executed.
