Jim Carrey is the unsuspecting news reporter who is given the powers of God by God himself, only to find out it is harder being God than he thought. A comedy that has plenty of the usual Jim Carrey slapstick that has a tendancy to overwhelm any profound message. Morgan Freeman gives a strong performance as the God character. The film has some very funny parts.
