Simone Simon is a woman of Serbian extraction living in America who falls in love with Kent Smith. However she believes that she is part of an ancient cat curse that causes her to kill people. This is a good example of how to make a horror film based on suspense rather than explicit graphics and on what you do not see as much as what you do see. The scene in the swimming pool being an excellent example of this style of film making
