Ralph Feinnes is a British diplomat in Kenya who maries an activist (Rachel Weisz), who is then killed. He seeks to find out the truth, as his marriage is shown in flash backs, and corruption is revealed. This is a mixture of romance and social comment that is filmed in a semi-documentary style with lots of close ups.
