Global warming produces abrupt changes in the weather leading to an ice age starting in the northern hemisphere. Dennis Quaid's son is trapped in New York and trying to survive the storm whislt Quaid travens accross country to resuce him.Variation on the disaster film with an ecological theme. Some good visual effects as hurricanes and tornadoes devastate cities.
