Humphrey Boart is on a train with his army friend, but he disappears and then turns up dead. Humphrey Bogart investigates the murder with the help of the mans widow. This has all the good elements of film noir including the dark moodyfilming and commentary from the leading man. There is a strong performance from Humphrey Bogart who is ably supported by Lizabeth Scott as the femme fatal.
