Comment
A man (Eric Portman) returns home to London early after a trip to America only to find his wife (Greta Gynt) is having an affair (Richard Fenton). So he plans the perfect murder by making it look like suicide but in doing so discovers she has already dumped him for another man (Maxwell Reed) and therefore he frames this other man for the murder. However the police are suspicious (Jack Warner) and the sister (Hazel Court) of one of the lovers is having an affair wi the other. This is a well played and nicely plotted British crime drama. Eric Portman is good in the lead as the betrayed husband with goos support from Greta Gynt as the fickle women using her husband and lovers. Jack Warner is solid as the detective, though Hazel Court only has a small role.
