| Comment | Wesley Snipes is a villain and Sylvester Stallone a policeman who are frozen for 40 years by which time the USA has become politically correct and peaceful to a fault. The villain escapes to wreak havoc and the disgraced "old style cop" is brought back to catch him. Violent satire that still manages not to take itself seriously. Achieves a good balance of action and humour. A good understated performance from Sandra Bullock as the modern policewoman with an interest in the old ways. |
