| Comment | Michael Caine and Steve Martin are two con men working on rich women in a French seaside town. They decide they cannot both stay in the same town, so thy set up a bet to con a young woman out of a sum of money, with the loser leaving town. Michael Caine plays the suave Englishman and Steve Martin the brash American and successfully carry out the sting. This is good sophisticated comedy, with a good plot and strong performances from the two male leads. |
