A meteor lands on earth and is investigated by David Duchovny who is the science teacher from the local high school. The meteor contains an organism that is rapidly evolving and he and his friends, with the eventual help of Julianne Moore who is a scientist working for the government, work to find a solution. This film is surprisingly funny, despite being a send up of various Sci-Fi films. The idea of destroying invading aliens with anti-dandruff shampoo is wonderful.
