Five scientists conducting an experiment in space get exposed to solar radiation and return to earth with super powers. One uses his powers for selfish ends, one goes for the publicity, whilst the others try and come to terms with their powers.This is slightly darker than the average super hero film with more emphasis on relationships and the psychological effects of being different. However neither plot nor the effects lift this above the average super hero film.
