Three parallel stories set in 16th century Mayan civilisation, present day and in a star traveling future revolve around a mans quest to save his dying wife with the help of the tree of life. A mixture of love story and the quest for eternal life. Rachel Weisz gives a good performance and some of the scenes are well filmed and lit.
