A corporate executive (JIm Carrey) gets a promotion and persuades his wife (Tea Leoni) to give up her job. However on his first day the company goes bankrupt thanks to the mismanagement if its CEO (Alec Baldmin). After the couple fail to get new jobs, they turn to crime to stop the bank repossing their house, before finding a way of getting back ta the man who ruined them.
This is a patchy remake of the earlier 1970's version
