An English city trader inherits the house and vineyard of his uncle with whom he had spent his childhood. He goes to France to sell the property where he meets a beautiful local woman and an American who claims to be his uncle's illegitimate daughter. This film of a man coming to terms with what is important in life has some good moments, some cliches, but also some nice filming.
