Bill Murray is a TV weather man who goes to a samll town in America to cover a story(about a groundhog) with his new producer (Andie MacDowell). However he keeps re-living the same day over and over again until he learns about the important things in life. The theme is developed well, as Bill Murray remembers what happens on previous repeatss and Andie MacDowell does not, so he uses this to try and date her.
