An English teacher in Italy attempts to blow up a businessman who killed her husband and sells drugs to children at her school. She is arrested by a corrupt policeman, but is helped by another policeman to kill him and escape custody. Cate Blanchett gives an excellent performance in English whilst the rest of the film is in Italian. This is a simply filmed but moving drama that explores the emotions of the characters.
