Nicholas Cage is the policeman who promises the waitress (Bridget Fonda) at the restaurant where he eats, half of the winnings from his lottery ticket as he has no money for a tip. His ticket then wins $4 million dollars and he keeps his promise to split it with the waitress, much to the chagrin of his wife (Rosie Perez). The plot is predictable in this feel good film that is carried mainly by the charm of Bridget Fonda, ably supported by an understated performance from Nicholas Cage. The story is based on a true story.
