Jet Li is the Chinese policeman who goes to Paris to help arrest a drug dealer, but is set up by a corrupt French policeman. He enlists the help of a prostitute (Bridget Fonda) whose daughter is held captive by the policeman to keep her working on the streets. Jet Li needs to save himself, the prostitute and her daughter. This is an effective vehicle for Jet Li's skills but under unitises the ability of Bridget Fonda.
