A builder (Matthias Schoenaerts) hires a female garden designer (Kate Winslett) to construct an garden ballroom at Versailles for King Louis XIV (Alan Rickman) and they become emotionally involved as the struggle with the build. This is a beautifully filmed and produced historical drama that revolves around the relationships between the three main characters. The performances from Kate Winslett and ALan Rickman make this an engrossing film to watch.
