Comedy/thriller with Michelle Pfeiffer as a
woman trying to leave the mob after her husband ((Alec Baldwin) is killed when his boss (Dean Stockwell) finds he is having an affair with the same woman (Nancy Travis). Michelle Pfeiffer does not get on with the other mob wives and after the funeral leaves to start a new life, but is
followed by both the police (Matthew Modine) and the mob. Michelle Pfeiffer gives a good performance in what is essentially a romantic comedy as she tries to escape from the mob whilst falling in love with the FBI agent trying to investigate her and her ex-husband. Despite a bad selection of 1980's hairsyles and outfits, this is an entertaining film from Michelle Pfeiffer ably supported by Dean Stockwell and Matthew Modine.
