At some time in the future, machines have taken over the world and grow humans to provide their power. The minds of the humans live in a computer generated reality called the Matrix that they think is reality, but a few hackers have escaped to fight back. This is one of those films where you should sit back and enjoy the visuals and the action and not try and analyse the plot and any sub-plots, or the holes in the plot. This film had a lot of hype at its release and does have some spectacular scenes but overall it failed to live up to the hype.
