Clint Eastwood is an aging boxing coach who agrees to train a younger girl (Hilary Swank) as a boxer but as her career reaches a high things take an unexpected turn as she is seriously injured in the ring. Whilst this is nominally a film about boxing, it is essentially about the relationship between Clint Eastwood and Hilary Swank and for which they rightly both won Oscars.
