Seven years after Cary Grant's wife (Irene Dunne) is lost at sea she is declared dead and he marries Gail Patrick. However Irene Dunne reappears, which complicates things, more so when Randolph Scott turns up who has spent the 7 years alone with Irene Dunne on a remote island. Cary Grant gives a good comic performance as the man having to choose between his two wives and he is well supported by Irene Dunne.
