An accident causes a scientist (Dan Aykroyd) to send a beam to another planet. This will destroy the planet, so they visit earth to undo the problem. The alien takes the form of a beautiful woman (kim Bassinger) who has to try and learn to live like a human and convince the scientist to repair the damage. Average comedy that is only lifted to that by Dan Aykroyd's energy and Kim Bassinger's charm.
