A child has nightmares about a town called Silent Hill. Radha Mitchell is her mother who takes her to this deserted town, but they have a car accident and the daughter disappears. The mother searches for the child whilst being chased by various evil creatures. Radha Mitchell gives a good performance as the frantic mother in a confused and disappointing film based on the video game.
