This is the fourth of the Star Trek films, in which an alien probe is threatening to destroy earth. William Shatner (Captain Kirk) takes his crew go back in time to 1980's earth to recover and return a humpback whale that is now extinct, but to which the probe is trying to communicate. This is fun, definately tongue in cheek and the most entertaining of the series.
