Sean Penn is an actor who was previously married to Madonna, Robin Wright and Leila George. His style of acting was from the method style of acting. After working in a few plays his first film was Taps. His break through role was in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. The Falcon and the Snowman was a spy thriller from director John Schlesinger. He worked with his then wife Madonna in Shanghai Surprise. Casualties Of War is the Brian De Palma Vietnam war film. We're No Angels is a Neil Jordan comedy ramke of an earlier film. State of Grace and Carlito's Way were both crime dramas. In Dead Man Walking he played a death row inmate and was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar. His second BEst Actor Oscar nomination was Woody Allen's Sweet and Lowdown. He then worked with Kathryn Bigelow in The Weight of Water. In I Am Sam he plays a man with the mental age of a seven year old daughter and gained him another Best Actor Oscar nomination. Mystic River is director Clint Eastwood's crime thriller and for which he won the Best Actor Oscar. The Interpreter is a Sydney Pollack directed thriller. Milk is a biopic of a gay activist that won him the Best Actor Oscar. Licorice Pizza gained him critical acclaim.
