Comment/Synopsis

Two men (Bing Crosby and Donald O'Connor) are about to appear in a Broadway show but need a leading lady. Whilst in Europe they each sign up a beautiful woman for the part and all four of them take the boat back to America when each man falls in love with the other woman. The film starts well with two good Cole Porter numbers (Anything Goes and I Get A Kick Out Of You) but then it loses its way and becomes average. The highlight of the film is the performance from Mitzi Gaynor. It is Mitzi Gaynor's beauty, singing and dancing that carries the early part of the film.
