A soldier (John Wayne) breaks up with his girlfriend (Laura La Plante) and so she marries another soldier who becomes a general. When the soldier is posted to the unit run by the general he falls in love with the sister (June Clyde) of the woman he spurned. Out of spite she tries to break them up and it nearly cost him his job and her marriage. The plot is nothing original and John Wayne is very stiff as the romantic lead in this one of his early films. Laura La Plante does the best with the material available
