The US army is trying to broker a peace with the Apache indians, (led by Jack Palance) but chief scout for the army (Charlton Heston) has doubts about the motives of the indians and Katy Jurado is the Mexican lady who works on both sides. Although reflective of the attitudes of the time, it does show how attitudes to race relations have changed over the last 60 years.
