A family patriach invites a group of people for the weekend but there are serious financial problems for these people as well as well as lust, lies and betrayal. Valerie Hobson brings a charm and elegance to the film, but the problem with the film is that none of the characters are particularly pleasant characters. The plot ends up being weak because the characters are too busy trying to undermine each others character.
