An attempt to recreate the 1960's TV series with Ralph Fiennes as Steed and Uma Thurman as Mrs Peel.They are called in to stop a scientist (Sean Connery) from holding the country to ransom as he is using his weather changing machine to create increasingly cold temperatures. Despite good performances from Jim Broadbent and Uma Thurman this fails to inspire as it lacks drama and suspense and the effects are at best contrived.
