Charlton Heston and Susannah York are excavating an Egyptian tomb when his wife (Jill Townsend) has a still birth, but when they open the sarcophagus of the mummy they are excavating the child comes to life. They go their separate ways but eighteen years later the mummy is starting to deteriorate and Charlton Heston and his daughter Stephanie Zimbalist meet again but she is not what she seems.
