Comment/Synopsis

A man and a woman with different views on life meet by chance, fall in love and marry to avoid a problem with her guardian. Despite their love for each other, their mistrust, lack of communication and personnal history cause all sorts of problems in their marriage. This is a good depression era domestic drama, that examines misunderstandings in relationships. This has some distinctly pre-code scenes in the early part of the film, but also deals with relationships in a way that is different to most films of the period. There are good performances from both James Dunn and Sally Eilers with good support from Minna Gombell.
