This is a dramatisation of part of the life of Jane Austen based on some of her letters as she falls for Tom Lefroy who is from a wealthy family who decide she is unsuitable. Jane Austen is determined to marry for love, but she never did marry. This film does give a sense of the woman behind the novels that she wrote and is helped by the good cast delivering beleivable performances
