An alien life form lands on earth and attaches itself to an old man. Two teenagers take him to a doctor and then try and stop it from getting bigger and bigger and consuming everything in its path. This is a stylish 1950's Sci-Fi film with more realistic characters than in many modern sci-fi / horror films. It is notable as Steve McQueen's first credited film.
