A young woman's first love is lost on an expedition. Her father and other warriors go on an expediition to reclaim an island from a beast, but many of the men are killed, her father taken prisoner, however the man she dislikes, but is betrothed to, returns safe. She and her female friend set out to rescue her father and she sets him free but is captured by the beast. This is a retelling of the Beauty And The Beast story set in a Viking setting with a good performance from Jane March who mixes femininity and a being a warrior.
