Matt Damon and Heath Ledger are two con artists in 18th century Germany who go about convincing villages then can banish evil spirits. However their lives are challenged when they come across the workings of a real witch. This is dark and harsher telling of fairy stories, particularly if you are used to the Disney versions. Terry Gilliam has produced a wonderfully atmospheric film.
