An ex-soldier (Horst Janson) and his hunchback assistant (John Carter) are vampire hunters who investigate a series of attacks on young women that suck out their youth and life with the help of a girl (Caroline Munro) they met along the way. This was an attempt by Hammer to be more suspense and less blood and gore. It is not a great horror film, but good by Hammer standards, though it did badly at the box office.
