A woman (Helen Haye) wants her son to marry his cousin (Penelope Dudley Ward) to continue the family name but there are mysterious happenings in the house. However she has feelings for the architect brough in to remodel the house. The problem with the film is that there is not really any suspense and the the direction and acting is very flat and staid.
