Charlie Chan (Warner Oland) is in Egypt investigating the theft of ancient artefacts when he discovers the body of an arecheologist hidden in a sarcophagus who was thought to be in a different part of Egypt. His daugther (Pat Paterson) asks him to investigate, which leads to more bodies and treasure. This is a standard Warner Oland performance as Charlie Chan, with support from Pat Paterson as the daughter and a minor role from a young Rita Hayworth.
