A successful writer (Jesse Metcalf) has to look after his nephew and neice in the run up to Christmas despite not liking Christmas. He begrudingly strikes up a friendship with his single neighbour who does like Christmas and children. This is a typical made for television Christmas romance. Jesse Metcalf is not entirely convincing in the role of the batchelor writer and Fiona Gubelmann is pleasant, but has a bland character to work with.
