Two children think that a house can grant wishes, but the girl discovers that it is a reculsive woman living in the house. She joins up with her to help grant wishes and tries to link up her single mother (Teri Polo) with a teacher rather than the doctor (Kevin Sorbo) who owns the house the woman lives in.
