A fake clairvoyant (Claude Rains) is suddenly able to predict the future but only in the presence of the daughter (Jane Baxter) of a newspaper owner much to the distress of his now jealous wife (Fay Wray). Things get difficult when he is accused of causing the disaster he predicted. The plot is not entirely convincing but it is the performance from Claude Rains that makes the film. It was one of his earliest films but he makes a real mpact especially the shots of his face and his eyes. There is also a good supporting performance from Fay Wary as his wife.
