An old lady (Angela Lansbury) tells stories to her granddaughter (Sarah Patterson) about werewolves and beast in the forest but reality and fantasy begin to merge for the girl. This is mix of traditional werewolf stories and Red Riding Hood with under currents of teenage sexuality meaning it is part horror and part morality tale. The film is based on the novel by Angela Carter.
