A divorced woman (Amy Acker) shares parenting of their two children with her ex-husband (Kristian Bruun). He has arranged to spend Christmas with the family of his new girlfriend (Brooke Nevin) who then invites the ex-wife to also spend Christmas with them. The inevitable competition between the two women develops and is confused when the new girlfriend's brother arrives and develops feelings for the ex-wife. in places the characters are all a bit too nice though why either women are in love with the ex-husband is not clear.
