In pre-history a family of cave dwellers are forced to leave their cave and go in search of a new home with the help of a man with different ideas about the world. This is an entertaining children's comedy focusing on family, and setting security against change. There is little in the way of actual plot being more a sequnce of disaster and chase sequences. There are good voice performances from Emma Stone and Nicholas Cage.
