Comment/Synopsis

A woman claiming to be the secret wife of her recently dead husband arrives at the family home to claim her inheritance but comes up against her husbands controlling brother and his sister who claims to have heard the husband still alive. Errol Flynn plays against type as the controlling member of the family whilst Barbara Stanwyck is good as the strong willed woman seeking the truth, though Geraldine Brooks has little to do is this early rolefor her. THis is not the best film from either Flynn or Stanwyck, the scene of here in the dumb waiter is a nice touch.
