The friend of a taxi driver end up dead in his taxi after he gets involved with a local gang and the taxi driver and his girl friend investigate to expose the killer and the gang. The script is typical of British post-war crime films. Richard Attenborough gives a solid performance in the lead with good support from Sheila Sim as his girl friend and Judy Kelly as the girl friend of the killer who works as a dance hostess in the dance hall that the gang operates out of.
